The 2011 Auxiliary Recruits recently completed their final day of practical training. The training took place at Station #19 – Tilbury. Twenty recruits attended. They worked in pairs to complete five exercises.

They included:

Protective Clothing and Self Contained Breathing Apparatus

Ladders

Water Supply – Fire Hydrants

Water Supply – Tanker Portable Pump

Ropes and Knots

Salvage and Overhaul

During the day, the recruits were fitted for bunker gear and participated in a presentation on “A Comprehensive Community Fire Safety Plan”.
