Chatham-Kent Firefighters Host Community Fundraisers

During the month of September there were various events held by some of our fire stations to raise funds for charity.

Station #07-Chatham South held a boot drive and barbeque at North Maple Mall and with a $2000.00 contribution from Walmart raised $8093.50 for Muscular Dystrophy.

Station #06-Dresden also held a boot drive raising $1700.00 for Muscular Dystrophy and a week later hosted a breakfast raising $1000.00 for the Terry Fox Run in their area.

Station #05-Tupperville also held a breakfast to raise funds for muscular dystrophy. There was a total of $1000.00 raised at this event.

Station #12-Harwich North hosted their annual community chicken dinner. Profits from this event help sponsor partnerships and fire safety initiatives the station participates in throughout the year.

Firefighters, family members and students working on community hours helped to make these events a success. You will see some pictures of firefighter’s children included in the photos below. Our youngest recruit, Conner Doom attended the Dresden breakfast at 3 days old.
