A Trainer Facilitator Presentation Skills Course was held at Station #3 in Wallaceburg on February 19^th, 20^th and 21^st, 2010. Ten firefighters attended and were trained in firefighter standards and curriculum, how to create a lesson plan, presentation skills, proper use of teaching aids, presenting lesson plans.

Firefighters attended from both the full time and volunteer sectors of the department. Stations represented included: Wallaceburg, Tupperville, Wheatley, Erieau, North Raleigh, Dresden and Highgate.

Chief Bob Kissner from Kingsville and Training Captain Pat Martin from Chatham-Kent facilitated the weekend course.

This is the first course of this kind offered in Chatham-Kent. Firefighters will receive their Training Facilitator Certification from the Ontario Fire College.

Pat Martin will achieve his Master Trainer Facilitator status for delivering the training. Chief Kissner acted as his proctor and reviewed his efforts.
